Labeling Machine Mechanical Design

Job ID: 40632603

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I am building a new automatic labeling unit for our production line and need a mechanical designer who can take it from concept to shop-floor-ready documentation. You will work in SolidWorks (advanced level) and, where needed, refine details in AutoCAD. The job demands strong machine-design skills: you will be laying out the feed-in conveyor, label applicator head, adjustment mechanisms, and guarding, then wrapping everything in a sheet-metal enclosure that meets both safety and aesthetics.

Because the machine will go straight into fabrication, every component must follow good DFM practice, with GD&T applied where critical. I also expect a structured Bill of Materials that purchasing can import directly into our ERP.

Deliverables
• Fully detailed 3D assembly in SolidWorks, parametric and cleanly organised
• 2D assembly, sub-assembly and manufacturing drawings (PDF + DWG) with complete GD&T call-outs
• Sheet-metal flat patterns ready for laser cutting
• Consolidated, itemised BOM (Excel or CSV) with part numbers and material specs
• STEP files of key parts for vendor review

Acceptance criteria
All drawings must be revision-controlled, tolerances must align with ISO standards, and the enclosure has to be serviceable with standard hand tools.

When you apply, focus on your relevant experience designing packaging or labeling machinery; links or images of past machines are ideal.
