Kenworth Truck LHD to RHD Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced automotive engineer or truck conversion specialist to convert left-hand drive (LHD) Kenworth trucks imported from the U.S. to right-hand drive (RHD) for use in Papua New Guinea. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in steering system modifications, dashboard reconfiguration, compliance with RHD safety standards, and ensuring full functionality after conversion.
Responsibilities:
Assess and design a structural and mechanical plan for LHD to RHD conversion
Modify the steering system, dashboard, and controls while maintaining OEM specifications
Ensure compliance with Papua New Guinea’s road safety regulations
Provide technical drawings, material lists, and engineering solutions for the conversion
Supervise or guide a local team in performing the conversion
Conduct post-conversion testing to ensure safety and performance
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in truck or heavy vehicle engineering and modifications
Knowledge of Kenworth truck models and their mechanical structure
Expertise in steering and dashboard reconfiguration
Familiarity with RHD vehicle safety standards
Ability to provide detailed engineering documentation
Experience in working with truck fleets, mining, or logistics industry is a plus
