Freelance Jewelry Designer Opportunity - Join a Brand New Company!
We are an exciting, newly established jewelry company seeking a highly creative and experienced Freelance Jewelry Designer to collaborate with us on our inaugural collections. This is a fantastic opportunity to be one of the foundational creative voices for a brand committed to quality, innovation, and timeless design.
About the Role
We are looking for a designer capable of creating stunning, market-ready designs across a wide spectrum of fine and fashion jewelry. You will work closely with the founder to translate our brand vision into beautiful, tangible pieces.
Design Categories (All Required)
We need expertise in designing for the following categories:
* Rings: Engagement rings, wedding bands, cocktail rings, and everyday fashion rings.
* Necklaces & Pendants: Statement necklaces, delicate pendants, lariats, and chokers.
* Chains & Bracelets: Classic chains, link bracelets, bangles, and cuffs.
* Earrings: Studs, hoops, drops, and chandeliar designs.
* Traditional/Cultural Pieces: Specialized experience in designing items like Mangalsutras (specifically required), Maang Tikas, and other ceremonial jewelry is a significant plus.
* Men's Jewelry: Simple bands, cufflinks, and masculine chain designs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conceptualization: Develop unique and original design concepts based on seasonal trends and our core brand aesthetic.
* Sketching & Rendering: Produce detailed hand sketches and/or professional digital renderings (e.g., using Rhino, Matrix, or CAD software).
* Technical Drawings: Create accurate technical specifications and construction details suitable for prototyping and manufacturing.
* Material Selection: Advise on appropriate metals (gold, silver, platinum) and gemstones (precious and semi-precious).
* Collaboration: Participate in design reviews and iterate on concepts based on feedback.
What We're Looking For
* Proven Experience: A portfolio showcasing strong, diverse experience in jewelry design across multiple categories (rings, necklaces, traditional pieces, etc.).
* Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard design software (CAD/Matrix/Rhino is highly preferred).
* Attention to Detail: Impeccable accuracy in technical specifications to ensure manufacturability.
* Creative Vision: An eye for both contemporary trends and classic, enduring styles.
* Reliability: The ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly in a freelance capacity.
