Injection Molding DFM Expert - Plastic Part Design
Budget: $15 – $35 USD
We are looking for someone experienced in creating injection molded part designs to help design complex plastic parts for a new project.
The work will involve designing with issues in mind such as draft, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, undercuts, sink marks, warpage risk, parting line considerations, and gating/ejection concerns.
We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in injection molded plastic parts — not just general CAD experience. The ideal person has worked with production parts before and can quickly spot design issues that would cause problems in manufacturing. In addition, the ideal candidate has past experience in industry working on many injection molded designs.
Ideal background:
- Strong experience with injection molding and plastic part design, in Solidworks.
- Past experience at real companies where plastic parts have been designed and manufactured.
