Hardware desgin: Combine a steering helm with a brushless servomotor
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Overview
This is a rather simplistic project where we want to combine a steering helm with a brushless servomotor. The result is an electric linear wire actuator. By running the servo motor the wire will extend or retract depending on the direction of the motor. The design shall be built around:
* T67 Steering System (called “helm”).
* RMD-X8 Pro-H V3 BLDC Gear Motor (called “motor”).
* Timing belt gearbox (called “transmission”).
* Various bits and pieces of hardware to put it together and work as intended.
