HMC Programmer for Fanuc to Siemens Update

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Horizontal Machining Center (HMC) Programmer to help us update our existing CNC program from a Fanuc controller to a Siemens controller. In addition to updating the program, we require a few enhancements to improve efficiency and precision. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of both Fanuc and Siemens CNC systems, with a proven track record of successful controller migrations and program optimization.
Job Responsibilities:
Program Update: Migrate our current CNC program from a Fanuc controller to a Siemens controller while ensuring seamless integration.
Code Optimization: Analyze the existing program and implement enhancements to improve machining efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
Customization: Make minor adjustments or enhancements as per the specific requirements of our machining process.
Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct rigorous testing of the updated program to ensure functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the transition process.
Documentation: Provide detailed documentation of the changes made, including any new parameters or procedures introduced during the migration.
Requirements:
Proven experience with both Fanuc and Siemens CNC controllers.
Expertise in HMC programming and controller migrations.
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and G-code programming.
Experience in optimizing CNC programs for improved performance.
Ability to troubleshoot CNC systems and solve complex technical issues.
Good communication skills to coordinate with our internal team and provide progress updates.
Additional Considerations:
Experience with multi-axis CNC machines is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is beneficial.
Previous experience with program enhancement and optimization in a production environment.
