Fusion 360 Models from Scans -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have two mesh files generated from recent 3-D scans of mechanical parts. I now need each scan rebuilt as a clean, fully-parametric model in Autodesk Fusion 360 so I can iterate on the geometry and send the results straight to the printer for rapid prototyping.
You’ll start from the raw scan meshes I’ll provide (OBJ/STL), convert or re-engineer the geometry into solid, editable bodies, and preserve all key dimensions so fit and function stay true to the originals. Where the scan data is rough or incomplete, please surface-patch or rationalise it so the final bodies are watertight and error-free for FFF/SLA printing.
Because these parts are for prototype use, I may ask for small tweaks—chamfers, hole size adjustments, lightening pockets—once the initial conversion is complete, so keep the timeline flexible enough for one revision pass. An efficient workflow using Fusion 360’s Mesh → Solid tools or direct sculpting/T-splines is fine as long as the outcome is a history-based file I can easily adjust later.
Deliverables
• Two native Fusion 360 (.f3d) files, fully parametric
• Matching print-ready STL exports (0.2 mm tolerance or better)
