Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
SMF will supply 2D CAD drawings of the staircases. You will use the information to create 3D solid models of these two staircases. The staircases are made of metal frames
and wooden boards.
Two separate FE models will be created for the staircases for stress analysis. The material properties of the steel frames and wooden board will be defined. The staircases will be suitably constrained.
Appropriate loading will be applied on the staircases. The details of the loading on the staircases will be discussed. Solutions will be obtained for the stress analyses of these staircases.
A summary report will be supplied. The report will include the description of the setup of the FE models, the evaluation of the stress results, the reaction forces and moments in different directions (longitudinal, transversal and torsional).
