Engineer needed to design concrete pile extension "sleeve"
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We own and operate a marina with roughly 250 concrete pilings ranging from 12 to 14" and 50-70' long. These piles are used to support floating concrete docks that boats tie up to.
We are looking for a way that we can extend these piles so that we can be better prepared for storm surge from hurricanes. We assume the best way to do this, besides replacing the piles completely, is to design a sleeve of some sort that would slip over the top of the existing piles and provide more height for the docks to float when water level gets high.
