We are seeking an experienced engineer or CAD designer to develop comprehensive documentation and detailed 3D shop drawings for a custom excavator attachment. This attachment is designed to handle a loading capacity of approximately 3.5 tons, with specific fabrication materials and dimensions. The project involves creating precise technical drawings, assembly instructions, and material specifications to facilitate manufacturing, ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
Objectives:
Develop accurate 3D models and detailed shop drawings of the attachment.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and installation guidelines.
Ensure all drawings and specifications comply with relevant Australian standards and industry best practices.
Facilitate seamless communication with manufacturing teams for fabrication.

Dimensioning, tolerances, surface finishes, and welding details.
Technical Documentation:
Bill of Materials (BOM) with part numbers, quantities, and material specifications.
Assembly and installation instructions.
Welding details and surface finishing instructions.
Compliance & Standards:
All drawings and documentation must meet relevant Australian standards, including:
AS 4100 (Steel Structures) for structural integrity and fabrication.
AS/NZS 1554 series (Welding) for welding procedures and quality.
AS 1170 series for structural loading considerations.
Any other applicable standards for heavy equipment and structural steel fabrication.
Scope of Work:
Review and clarify design requirements and constraints.
Develop initial CAD models and drawings, incorporating specified materials and dimensions.
Conduct iterative reviews and incorporate feedback.
Finalize detailed shop drawings and technical documentation.
Deliver files in CAD-compatible formats (e.g., STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF).
