Design of a gantry system for my DIY CNC using Rack and pinion

I have recently implemented a DIY CNC based on a 60x40 RHS as a guide rail and 4mm metal sheet used to construct the gantry on belt drive system, I now waned to change this same system to rack and pinion with a 8 to 1 gear redaction to multiply torque
The pinion on the reduction box has to press down to the rack with spring tension

what I needs to change on this design is the X-axis RHS needs to change to 50 x 70 RHS instead of 60 x 60

I have attached the drawings for the system i am using now, I can provide the original DXF files when agreed
