Design 3D-Printable Functional Engineering Part
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for an experienced engineer, CAD/CAM designer, to design a functional part to be 3D printed. All design, slicer, and output files are required. This part will need to meet specific material characteristics and dimensions: roughly, right circular cylinder, 44 mm Phi, 10 cm length; with various full length (longitudinal) ports, ranging from 1 port 1 cm in diameter, to 48 individual ports, ~ 1 mm in diameter.
Key requirements:
- Purpose: The designed part is intended to be a functional component. It'll be used practically, not as a display or prototype.
- Material: The part must be printable using materials like Polyethylene, Polypropylene, ABS, HIPS, Delrin (POM), or PMMA (Acrylic). It's crucial that the design considers the unique properties of these materials, including strength and durability.
- Dimensions: The part should fall within the range of 1-5 inches, with strict adherence to the specified dimensions and tolerances.
Ideal skills and experience:
- Proficiency in engineering design, CAD/CAM Design and Design Software, especially for 3D printing.
- Knowledge of various materials and their properties, especially in the context of 3D printing applications.
- Ability to design for specific dimensional requirements and tolerances.
If you have a background in creating functional, 3D-printable parts with similar requirements, I'd love to hear from you.
