Design of Heavy-Duty Pentagon Cord Lock Component
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
We are seeking an experienced CAD designer/mechanical product designer to develop a professional 3D CAD model of a custom pentagon-shaped cord lock/load distribution component based on an attached reference image.
The design will be used for prototyping and potential production and must be structurally strong, aesthetically clean, and optimized for manufacturing.
Scope of Work
The selected designer will be responsible for:
* Creating a complete 3D CAD model
* Designing all functional attachment points
* Optimizing the design for strength and durability
* Preparing manufacturing-ready files
* Providing technical drawings with dimensions
Design Requirements
Geometry
* Shape: Regular Pentagon
* Pentagon Side Length: 1.5 inches (3.81 cm)
* Thickness: Designer to recommend based on strength requirements
Strap Attachment
* Two upper strap slots
* Compatible with 1.5-inch (38 mm) webbing straps
* Smooth edges to prevent strap wear
Cord Attachment
* Four cord/string attachment points
* Located on the lower portion of the pentagon
* Designed for secure load distribution
Strength Requirement
* Must safely support a static load of up to 30 kg
* Reinforced geometry around all load-bearing areas
* Minimize stress concentrations and potential failure points
Manufacturing Considerations
* Suitable for FDM/SLS 3D printing
* Future injection molding compatibility preferred
* Parametric design preferred
