Custom Socket Design for BM1370 ASIC - 24/06/2025 11:53 EDT
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm looking for an experienced mechanical or electrical designer to develop a custom socket for the BM1370 ASIC chip. Your responsibility will be to draw up the design so we can send to a manufacturer for prototyping. We’re looking for spring pin type of design between the chip and the socket. We’re trying to make the chip easily replaceable vs soldering the chip directly to the board.
Deliverables:
-Fully dimensioned package drawing (POD with tolerances)
Requirements:
- Plastic material
- Designed for low voltage power requirements (approx. 40W)
- LGA-style with no retainer
- Reflow capable
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in ASIC socket design
- Strong background in thermal management solutions
- Proficient in working with plastic materials
-Semiconductor physics, materials science, and semiconductor manufacturing processes
