Custom G-Code To Automate Printing with Bambu X1C. -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project Title: Custom G-Code for Automating 3D Printing on Bambu X1C
Description:
I am seeking a skilled developer to create custom G-codes for automating 3D printing on a Bambu X1C printer using both Bambu PETG HF filament and Bambu PLA Basic filament with a 0.6mm nozzle.
The G-code needs to optimize the printing process for automation, particularly by ensuring the following:
Model Ejection & Reset: Once the first model is printed, the printer should automatically push the finished model out of the printing area.
Automated Print Restart: After the model is ejected, the printer must begin printing the next model without manual intervention. The code should allow for seamless transition from one print to the next.
Multiple Build Plates: The G-code should be capable of printing one model after another from different build plates, with each print starting on a fresh, cleared plate. Although the models on each build plate may differ slightly, they will generally remain within the approximate dimensions of 205mm x 158mm x 120mm. The G-code should accommodate these minor variations in size.
Deliverables:
Two separate sets of G-code:
One set for printing with Bambu PETG HF filament.
One set for printing with Bambu PLA Basic filament.
Both sets should include automation for model ejection, restart, and adjustments based on model size.
A clear set of instructions that outlines the process and includes specific notes and instructions for use.
Detailed instructions on how I can modify the G-code for changes in model size, with a specific focus on adjusting for model height for proper ejection.
To help you get started, I can provide an example G-code that can serve as a baseline for each filament type. Additionally, I will share a video that describes the process used to create this example G-code. While you may choose to manipulate the provided G-code as needed to accommodate the 0.6mm nozzle and the dimensions of my models, you are also welcome to write your own code if you believe that would ensure more accurate and efficient printing.
The goal is to enable continuous printing with minimal user input, ensuring smooth automation for an efficient 3D printing workflow.
Requirements:
Experience with custom G-code scripting for 3D printers.
Knowledge of Bambu X1C printer and its capabilities.
Ability to develop G-code that accommodates variable model sizes, filament types, and multiple build plates.
Familiarity with automating 3D printing processes.
Ability to create clear, user-friendly instructions for modifying the G-code.
Please provide time lapsed videos of your successfully completed projects.
