Creality K2 Pro – Multi-Color FDM 3D Printable Challenge Coin (CAD Model – STL/3MF)

Job ID: 40236762

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

This project requires CAD-based 3D modeling for FDM 3D printing.
Please start your bid with the word “FDM” to confirm you understand this is not a logo/vector design project.

I need an original challenge coin designed to showcase the Creality K2 Pro’s multi-color FDM capabilities, while remaining durable and cleanly printable.

This is a physical product design project, not a 2D artwork conversion.

Our club colors are maroon and grey; please use them in the design. A third or fourth accent color is acceptable (maximum of four total colors).

All aspects of the coin design are open to professional recommendation if it improves durability, print quality, or multi-color performance.

Design Direction

The design should sit in the moderate detail range:

Clean, readable surfaces
Clearly legible raised text
Meaningful symbols
A small interchangeable area where I can swap in a logo for future seasons
Background texture may be used but should not create fragile micro-detail
The goal is depth and dimension without becoming delicate or support-heavy.

Reference Files Provided

Coin concept image (layout reference)
Standalone wildcat logo

The logo is provided so you can properly engineer depth, simplify small features for FDM, and create clean relief geometry rather than converting flat artwork.

Technical Requirements

Printer: Creality K2 Pro
Slicer: Creality Print
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Build Plate: Textured surface

Because I print on a textured build plate:
Avoid fine recessed detail on the first layer
Raised elements are preferred on the bottom-facing side

Size & Structure

Coin diameter: ~45–50 mm (open to recommendation)
Thickness proportional for strength (open to recommendation)
Designed to print flat on build plate
Minimal or no supports required
Relief depth minimum 0.8–1.2mm
Minimum feature width 0.8mm
Multi-Color Requirements (Critical)
3–4 distinct color regions (maximum of four)
Separate bodies for each color region
No overlapping meshes
Watertight/manifold geometry
Must slice cleanly in Creality Print

Either:

Single STL containing separate color bodies
OR
Split STL files mapped to each color
No painted textures. No single merged STL requiring slicer painting.

Acceptance Criteria

Model loads error-free in Creality Print
Color assignments are preserved and correctly separated
A prototype print on my K2 Pro completes successfully without major artifacts

Deliverables

Final STL(s) or 3MF
Brief note on recommended print settings
Source file (Fusion 360 preferred but not required)

Project Context

These coins are awarded annually to youth athletes in a nonprofit wrestling club. Durability and clean FDM printability are important, as they are intended to be meaningful keepsakes. A reusable or adaptable design for future seasons is a plus.

There is potential for follow-on work, including annual updates to this coin and additional award/trophy designs for our program.

When Bidding, Please Include:

Software used (Fusion 360 preferred)
Example of a 3D printed object you designed
Confirmation you understand multi-body color separation for multi-color FDM printing
Budget set for professional-quality CAD modeling.
