- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings (.SLDDRW) including multiple views, section views, and exploded views as necessary.
- Ensure drawings meet industry standards (ASME, ISO, or Australian Standards) with precise dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Incorporate appropriate annotations such as GD&T, surface finishes, and manufacturing notes.
- Deliver final engineering drawings in both SolidWorks format and PDF.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in converting OnShape models to SolidWorks.
- Strong proficiency in creating professional engineering drawings in SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and high-precision design tolerances.
- Knowledge of GD&T, dimensioning, and manufacturing annotations.
- Ability to interpret technical information and ensure the accuracy of fit, form, and function in drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Deliverables:
- Complete set of SolidWorks models (.SLDPRT, .SLDASM).
- Fully detailed engineering drawings (.SLDDRW) with dimensions, annotations, and tolerances.
PDF versions of all drawings for easy review and sharing.
The OnShape drwairings will be provided during the interview process for you to review and confirm you can complete the work.
If this sounds like you, please submit your portfolio showcasing relevant SolidWorks drawing work and a brief description of your experience with converting OnShape models. Also please include in the first line of your response what is your favorite thing about engineering. This is a must otherwise your application will not get read.
