Conversion of Experimental Aircraft Sheet Plans to CAD

Job ID: 38234939

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am looking for an experienced CAD designer to convert experimental aircraft drawings into a CAD model. This is a welded tube fuselage of several tube sizes. The individual tube members of the fuselage and empanage will be unrolled and flattened into dxf files for precise notching in a CNC plasma cutter. This project will require knowledge in engineering design and understanding of CNC machining processes to ensure manufacturability.

Complete professional scan of Plans Set - PDF provided.

**Project Goals:**
- Create a detailed model of the fuselage and empanage with individual tube members and correct joints and gussets.
- Produce dxf files of flattened tubing members.
- Ensure the design is fully optimized for CNC machining using weldments

**Skills and Experience Needed:**
- Proficient in CAD with a strong portfolio in mechanical design.
- Knowledgeable in CNC machining processes and how to design for manufacturing.
- Understanding of weldments and material properties to ensure the fuselage is sound
- Ability to deliver a design that is practical for manufacturing

Your creativity, engineering insight, and attention to detail will be crucial in bringing this project to life. If you are passionate about design and have the qualifications listed above, I invite you to submit a bid.
