CNG Tender Design for Gas Locomotives
Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP
I'm looking for a professional with expertise in designing a CNG tender specifically for gas locomotives, using composite pressure vessels, with a strong emphasis on ensuring structural integrity, ease of maintenance and gas supply optimization over long distances. The design needs to adhere strictly to using industry-standard materials and complying with both national transportation regulations such American Association of Railroads specifications and international safety certifications.
We envisage some of the following:
- The capacity of the tender kit is at least 10,000 Diesel liters equivalent (1,500 Km)
- The tender will include a protection system to ensure that gas cargo side impact is minimised.
- Operating pressure of the cylinders would be 250bar, enabling conventional filling equipment
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in designing gas locomotives
- Proven track record of ensuring structural integrity in tender designs
- In-depth knowledge of industry-standard materials
- Familiarity with national transportation regulations
- Experience with international safety certifications
Your proposal should demonstrate your ability to deliver a design that prioritizes structural integrity while adhering to the necessary regulations and standards.
