I am looking for an experienced mechanical engineer or CNC specialist to design a CNC machine that will serve as a powerful alternative to existing models on the market. The goal is to develop a machine that surpasses current models in performance, precision, and overall functionality.

Project Scope:
This CNC machine will primarily be used for machining steel, aluminum, and similar materials and should meet the following specifications:

- Including electrical control cabinet and CNC control system
- Worktable size: 500 x 400 mm
- Travel distances at least: X500 Y400 and Z300 mm
- Machine outer dimensions: 1000 x 630 mm
- Spindle power: up to 2.4-5,5 kW
- Axis motors: 750-watt servo motors
- Power supply: Operates on 220V or 380 V
- Tool changer: Tool changer with a magazine of approximately 30 tools
- Linear guides and ball screw with central lubrication
- Spindle with water cooling
- Tool cooling with either flood coolant (KSS) or minimum quantity lubrication (MMS)
- Chip collection tray under the machine bed as a drawer

Existing Design & Requirements:
An initial design for a gantry milling machine already exists and will be provided as a STEP assembly file. However, this design contains errors that need to be identified and corrected. The selected freelancer must review, optimize, and adapt the design for manufacturing.

Additionally, a bill of materials (BOM) must be created, and the final design must be provided both as a complete assembly and in individual parts.

In addition to the final design and the bill of materials (BOM), a high-quality 3D rendering of the CNC machine must be created for website presentation and marketing purposes. The rendering should showcase the machine from different angles, highlighting its key features and modern design.

Before receiving the design data, the selected candidate must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

- The machine must be stable, durable, and precise to be suitable for machining steel and aluminum.
- Focus on structural stability to minimize vibrations and improve milling accuracy.
- Optimization of spindle and axis motors for high-precision milling.
- The system should be easy to assemble, maintain, and operate.
- Modern design that aligns with the best competitors on the market.

Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience in CNC machine design
- Solid knowledge in machining steel and aluminum
- Experience with medium-sized CNC specifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification
