CAD Drawing for 3D Printing
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need assistance in creating CAD drawings of a product that my son has designed for a school project. He (and I) are not proficient with CAD. We have built prototypes and also have some basic drawings that we can share. We will require a series of drawings and two iterations. One of the existing prototype and one that includes ideas I have to improve the design.
We will need to be able to 3D print the parts for the final prototype however I believe that the actual product will be made with injection/blow molding so we might also need to produce the negatives of the parts with 3D printing to allow for injection holding at the final stage.
Would prefer to start the process with a telephone call to discuss. His product is an add-on to a widely available washing liquid bottle (Ecover) so I think it will help for you to have access to this product so that you can see the thread dimensions etc etc. With this in mind I think a UK/EU designer will be preferable or in a country where you can have access to the bottles in question.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Onshape is crucial as I prefer this software for the CAD drawing.
- Experience in designing mechanical parts is necessary.
- Prior experience with creating designs for 3D printing is a plus.
