CAD Draftsperson Needed for M&E Layouts (Padel Sports Centre) – Simple Drafting, Some Electrical engineering Input
Job Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CAD draftsperson (or engineer/drafter) to prepare a set of simple, professional 2D layout drawings for an indoor sports facility fit-out (padel courts project) in Manchester, UK.
Clear markups and full instructions will be provided — the work is drafting, but design input is welcome. If you have electrical engineering knowledge, that is a strong advantage.
Scope of Work:
Internal Drawings (M&E Layouts):
• Electrical layout (power sockets, lights, emergency lights, fire alarm points, speakers, network points).
• Water and drainage layout (hot/cold pipe runs, toilets, taps, showers, radiators).
• All items will be shown following clear guidance we will provide.
External Drawings:
• EV charging point location and cable routing (specifications provided).
• Cycle parking location (with simple elevation drawing).
• Bin store location and refuse vehicle access path.
• Locations of external planters (with basic sizes and species noted).
Please also show car park Bay markings and pedestrian access.
What We Provide You:
• Base site plan and floor plans (PDF or DWG).
• Marked-up drawings or sketches showing locations and notes.
• List of specific elements and products where needed (e.g., EV charger spec).
Requirements:
• Produce clean, scaled, professional CAD drawings.
• Must deliver both PDF and DWG file outputs.
• Must accept amendments until the drawings are fully satisfactory (reasonable revisions based on clear feedback).
• Must work accurately to instructions.
• Strong bonus if you can offer light electrical engineering input (e.g., layout advice, cable sizing awareness)
Timeline:
• Initial draft needed within 2-3 days.
• Final set (after feedback) within 7 days total.
Budget:
£100–£200 fixed price, depending on quality, experience, and delivery speed.
Ideal Skills:
• AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software)
• Electrical/Mechanical layout experience
• Fluent written English (for clear communication)
• Familiarity with UK standards is favourable.
