### Project Overview:

We’re creating the Aurea Flexistone Ring — a high-end modular ring with a sleek tapered profile and a removable gemstone plate that users can snap in and out based on personal style or symbolic meaning. Think: *fine jewelry meets customization* — no electronics, just form, feel, and flawless locking.

We’re looking for a CAD modeler with a great eye for luxury aesthetics and precision mechanical modeling to bring this design to life.

### ? What You’ll Design:

#### 1. The Ring Base
- Tapered design: 9 mm width at the top, 5 mm at the bottom
- Thickness: Uniform 3.5 mm
- Internal diameter: ~17.3 mm (US size 7)
- Finish: Sleek, seamless, luxurious — no roughness, crevices, or sharp transitions

#### 2. 1 Interchangeable Gemstone Plate
- Size: 9 mm x 7 mm x 1.5 mm (1 mm gemstone, 0.5 mm metal backing)
- Surface: Top (with oval gemstone) and bottom (with locking interface)
- Must look just as beautiful standalone as when attached
- Seamlessly integrate with the ring when attached

#### 3. Lock-In Mechanism (Non-Magnetic)
- Snap-fit, twist-lock, or slide-in — your proposal!
- Should:
- Snap-in / lock-in mechanism with no magnets or ejector pins
- Durable, waterproof, flush when installed
- Suggest one or more options (e.g., clip-fit, twist-lock, slide-in)
- Be easy to use (preferably finger-based, preferably no tools like ejector pins etc.)
- Be flush, seamless, and elegant after insertion
- Look good even when the ring is empty (bare form)
- Be resistant to dirt/clogging (no deep holes or sharp points)
- Withstand regular swapping without degrading

#### 4. Animation / Demonstration
- Show how the plate is removed and re-attached
- Demonstrate the final seamless look
- GIF or MP4 preferred

### ? Ideal Candidate:

- Strong skills in mechanical jewelry modeling or product form design
- Expert in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar
- Experience designing interchangeable mechanical components
- Bonus: Experience with snap-fit systems, wearables, or minimal aesthetic design

- Animation - this must be shown during the contest period
- Plate snapping into ring (GIF or MP4)
- Editable CAD file of ring base (with internal cavity and tapered design)
- Editable CAD file of 1 gemstone plate (top/bottom)
- Model of lock-in mechanism (with cross-section)
- Renders:
- Top, side, and bottom views (bare ring and plate)
- Assembled ring (plate attached)
- Output formats: STEP, STL, OBJ + native format files
