Electrical Installation Design for New Two-Bedroom Bungalow (Incl. Renewable Energy Integration)
Project Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced electrical designer to produce a complete electrical installation design for a new-build two-bedroom bungalow. The bungalow is part of a larger site that includes a mix of residential and small commercial units.
A detailed building floor plan will be provided and must be used as the basis for the design. The plan outlines the layout of the proposed bungalow, and all electrical design work must be accurately coordinated to fit this layout.
Scope of Work:
Develop a complete electrical layout based on the supplied building plan.
Determine and position:
Socket outlets throughout the bungalow
General and task lighting points
Fixed appliances including:
11kW induction electric cooker
300W cooker extractor
7kW electric central heating and hot water boiler
Identify and label all necessary isolation points, switches, and appliance controls.
Make assumptions on socket-outlet circuit loadings and design appropriate circuit arrangements.
Provide recommendations for consumer unit configuration, cable routes, and protective devices.
Supply a basic resource plan outlining key installation requirements and materials.
Deliverables:
Full electrical installation layout (PDF and DWG preferred)
Circuit schedule with load calculations
Installation resource/materials list
Brief design report including renewable energy recommendations
Ideal Candidate:
Experience in residential electrical design in the UK
Familiarity with BS 7671 and UK Building Regulations
Competency in renewable energy systems and sustainable design
Ability to interpret architectural floor plans and deliver clear, practical designs
