Advanced Screw Pile Load Capacity Analysis
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm seeking an experienced structural or mechanical engineer to provide calculations to justify a screw pile design, the geotechnical design has already been carried out, we know the torque that will be applied to the screw pile and the vertical and lateral loading on the pile so can provide individual helix loading and moment the tube needs to withstand.
we are looking for justification and calculations that the "steel system" screw pile can withstand the forces during installation ( torque applied ) and use ( loading on the plates )
Key objectives include:
Section Properties of the tube ( we use a grade 80 steel with yield stress of 535N/mm2 )
Tube Check
Tension Capacity of the tube
Tension Capacity of the tube after corrosion
Torsion Capacity of the tube
Moment Capacity of the tube
Moment Capacity of the tube after corrosion
Bolted Connection Check
Bolted Connection Capacity tubes have a welded coupled with 3 bolts to extend section in 2m increments.
Torsion Capacity of Bolted Connection
Welded Connection Capacity
Weld Torsion Capacity
Helix Check
Weld Capacity of Helix Plates
Helix Plate Justification
The ground if firm enough to restrain the pile and pile will be in a group as part of a raft slab so retrained at the top of the, buckling length can b 0.5m,
Skills and experience necessary:
- Civil engineering
- Understanding of geotechnical principles
- Proficient in screw pile design
- Knowledge in tension, torsion, bolted and welded connections.
Your expertise will be vital for providing a stringent justification and ensuring the tube's capability to withstand significant forces. Please demonstrate your previous mechanical design experience in your proposal.
