OVERVIEW
Our company has a few applications that are currently targeting the .Net 4.8 runtime. One of these applications is a basic razor web application that uses Kendo for jQuery and ASP.NET MVC, there is the backend application which comprises an API built on top of the ServiceStack open source library, a few messaging services built on top of the MassTransit open source stack, and some other class libraries.
GOALS
We’d like to be able to target linux as an operating system for the backend components and front-end web application.
Package the apps as docker containers using the standard microsoft base container images.
Upgrade NuGet libraries to the latest version of dependencies
