C# function for using Google OCR capabilities

Currently, we have a semi-automated mechanism for opening image files containing text in Google Docs and getting the OCR result. We are looking for a C# function to automate it fully. The idea is to have a function that accepts an image and optional parameters (like the language) and returns the output using Google OCR capabilities.
Also, we will need a full explanation of how to set up the API in our Google account (we are already using other APIs in Google).
In the attached document, it is an explanation of what we are using now. Of course, that's the older development we are willing to replace, but it might help to understand better what we are looking for now.
