Windows Training Log Desktop App
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a straightforward Windows-only desktop application that lets me maintain a clean, auditable log of every employee’s training. For each person I should be able to enter the course name, completion date, and any evidence or notes, then see at a glance when that training is due for its annual refresh. An automatic reminder system—ideally pop-up alerts inside the app and an optional email trigger—must flag anything coming due within a configurable window (for example, 30, 60, or 90 days).
A simple search or filter so I can pull up an individual employee, training topic, or date range will make day-to-day use easier, but the core emphasis is speed and reliability rather than fancy analytics. Exporting the full log to CSV or Excel would be helpful for audits, though printing a concise report is acceptable if that is quicker to implement.
The software can be built in C#/.NET, Python with Tkinter or PyQt, or another Windows-native framework you prefer, provided it installs with minimal fuss and runs on Windows 10 and 11 without additional licensing costs. Source code, an installer, and brief user documentation complete the deliverables.
