WPF Application near market needs developer for on going feature development

Job ID: 34916449

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

The Project:
We have a nearly market ready line of business application for the transportation industry. It's a single tenant client server application. The client is written in C#/WPF .net 4.x, largely using the DevExpress control library, with a backend server hosted in an azure app service with an azure sql database. WCF is used as the communication layer with SignalR for realtime updates to all connected clients. It's architecture is layered, using EF 6 Self-Tracking Entities and a set of Text Templates that generates strong typed models, services, wcf bindings, and client side controllers. The project is in git, managed through azure devops with automated build and release pipelines and using the work tracking system there as well. The IDE we use is Visual Studio.

Us: We're a small team of 3 and I'm the only developer. We have one team member whose family owns one of one of the larger companies in our industry, who works in the business and who is helping guide the product and when ready, will use it within his company and sell it to others, the other is the current owner of the business who will be retiring after we go to market and transition the existing clients to the new software. We're lean and in essentially startup mode, so eager to get this MVP over the line and then continue with our feature and bug backlog, including several new modules and a web ui for other aspects of the software.

The Need:
We're bringing this to market, and rolling it out to both our existing clients and some new businesses as well.
I need help addressing feature development, bugs, code cleanup, QA before releases and various other tasks. I need someone that can work in a mature, imperfect code base and has solid experience with C# and WPF as well as git and pull requests, DevExpress exposure a huge plus and the other tools and technologies listed above are great to have but not strictly necessary or as important as I'll mostly need you to be focused on the client side. I don't have time for a lot of hand holding or waiting for a person to upskill themselves to be productive, so not looking for a junior developer. I of course will be very active in the development, architecture and decision making and will give a thorough deep dive of the current codebase, but then I need you to be able to take off and contribute as we work together to make it happen :).

This will start off as part time while I assess your ability to contribute and how we get along, but would likely expand over time as we grow our revenue and take on the larger modules and features awaiting in our backlog.
