Unity Development with Mapbox

Job ID: 37207027

Budget: £10 – £15 GBP

I am looking for a Unity developer to create a swarm simulation using the Mapbox map.

The simulation will simulate 3-20 Unammed Air Vehicles (drones) over a specific region on a map. The user should be able to zoom in and out of the map.

Data will be provided in a text file of an area of interest that the drones need to explore (latitude and longitude). This will be a single location on the map.

Each drone should have the following data: location (latitude and longitude), speed, drone ID, and direction of flight. This information will be displayed above the drone in Unity using Text Mesh Pro.

Drones will start ~2 miles from the area of interest. Drones will then fly in a group towards the area of interest. Drones will then explore the area randomly, perhaps using Unity Navigation system: (https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.ai.navigation@1.1/manual/index.html).

If this mini project is successful, the scope will be expanded.

Platform:
- Built in Unity software
- Map software is Mapbox (https://www.mapbox.com/unity)
- The project is for the desktop platform.

Assets:
- There are no assets required for the project. The drone can be represented by a circle.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Unity development.
- Proficiency in C#
- Knowledge of navigation and routing systems.
- Experience working with Mapbox or similar mapping tools.
- Ability to optimize performance for the desktop platform.

If you meet these requirements and have the necessary skills and experience, please submit your proposal.
