Security Update and Software Update Manager
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Job Description: We are looking for a skilled freelance C# developer to enhance our standalone C#, WPF desktop application to enable automatic updates and implement security measures to prevent fake users from accessing the software. All legitimate users must be on our online CRM database.
The developer will be responsible for creating a prototype allocation to prove the concept as a PoC and then will apply these changes to the actual project in question. The coding of the features and deploying the application on Azure is the responsibility of the developer. The scope of this (Phase 1) is limited to the PoC and based on the quality of delivered work this can be extended to actual enhancements and deployment.
Responsibilities:
> Develop and implement automatic update functionality to enable users to receive updates when available on the central server. The updates can be digital artefacts or .Net assemblies.
> Develop and implement a one-time password delivery service to authenticate users and prevent fake users from using the desktop application without registering on our online CRM.
> Implement a countdown to alert users of an expired/to be made obsolete/obsolete version so as to use the update service and install the latest software.
> Re-use the one-time password feature in a configurable frequency to check if the software is being used by a legitimate, registered user on a registered device.
> Ensure the server-side components are dockerised and can be deployed on Azure or AWS.
Requirements:
> Strong experience in C# and cloud services development.
> Strong knowledge in C++ or Rust or another systems programming language to implement a security layer on the cloud
> Experience with Azure deployment or AWS is essential.
> Experience implementing automatic update functionality and security measures such as one-time passwords is a bonus.
> Attention to detail and ability to develop high-quality maintainable code.
> Ability to work independently and deliver work within agreed timelines.
If you meet these requirements and are interested in enhancing our application, please contact me for more details / for consideration.
