OpenCV form scanner / reader demo -- 2
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need to make a Windows application , which will be able to read data from a printed piece of paper (please see attached image) or take a picture from the camera and do the same.
Steps :
1.The main window should have two push buttons :
- "Open image file" - opens a image file to scan.
- "Take picture" - takes a picture from camera
2. It scans the image (file or picture from camera),
3. Detects form type ("Sample 1" or Sample 2") by reading the form title text.
4. It displays the result in a message box as : "Form type : Sample 2; Name : John Doe; Favorite sport : football"
You can use C++, C#, Python, whatever makes this easier to understand and improve later.
I don't know much about Visual Studio or OpenCV, but I know C++/Java/Python, so I would also need a simple Readme file, with install and build instructions, and the code should have enough clear comments.
We can also schedule a Zoom session for demos if you want.
The images will contain the same two forms , but with different data, and probably slightly rotated or shifted sideways, and also quality will vary (please test with clean paper and aged/dirty paper).
This is a demo project, and a more serious project will follow (handwriting, training, etc) if I am really happy with the results.
Before I award I need some simple demo via Zoom, to make sure you actually know how to do this, and not waste any time by awarding a project to the wrong developer.
Thank you for bidding.
