NinjaTrader 8 & C# - Custom Strategy
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm in need of a talented programmer, proficient in both NinjaTrader 8 (NT8) and C#. The task at hand requires creating a custom strategy from scratch, precisely following my specifications.
Specifically, the freelancer should have
- A deep understanding of the NinjaTrader 8 platform and its functionalities
- Proficiency in C# programming- this is non-negotiable
- Strong English communication to clearly understand my specifications
While I'm keen to have this project completed, I'd rather we focus on the quality of work and not rush the process so please consider, there is no set deadline, at least not yet. Open to all capable and interested bidders. Looking forward to working with you.
General spec:
The strategy will involve getting time & price information from a custom indicator, as well as built-in NT8 indicators (mainly Swing, and 2 EMAs), and some price-action conditions. It will initiate a trade signal based on the custom indicator and last closed candle closing beyond that price, along with a number of other optional filters.
The strategy must have (3) session inputs, and needs to calculate the current trend direction on the chart (by using the Swing indicator and testing for Higher Highs & Higher Lows or Lower Highs & Lower Lows). This "current trend direction" will be used as another optional filter for qualifying the entry signal.
For exits, it will have an input for TakeProfit and StopLoss (in ticks) and also will have a Trailing Stop option, which will trail buy Swing indicator and/or candles (depending on inputs). And will also have an "auto" option for trailing only when certain conditions are met.
It will also have input filter of closed bar volume (or actually EMA of volume), and will have optional profit and loss parameters per session and per day. e.g. for Session 1, if the bot makes $350 or loses $400, stop trading for that session. And if the bot makes $600 or loses $700 for the whole day, stop trading until tomorrow.
It will need to be able to "hide" its trades, so that anyone viewing the account cannot tell they were placed by a bot (not sure if this is a setting in NT8 or done programmatically).
It will need to create a button on the toolbar which will enable or disable the robot with one click.
I am still preparing a more precise spec, but hopefully this will describe enough for now.
