Multi-Stage Keycard Quest Design
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I want to commission a fully custom, action-adventure quest for DayZ that revolves around collecting color-coded keycards, tuning in to clues on a handheld radio, and ultimately assembling a unique weapon. The experience should unfold across 3–5 distinct in-game locations, each with its own environmental puzzles and narrative breadcrumbs that drive players toward the final build table.
Scope of work
• Design the quest flow from first radio message to final weapon assembly, ensuring every step feels purposeful and interconnected.
• Script keycard gating, radio transmissions, and the weapon-crafting sequence inside a mainstream PC engine (Enfusion).
• Create the new weapon for the quest.
• Provide the finished scene(s), blueprint / C# scripts.
Acceptance criteria
1. All keycards must operate on proximity or inventory checks without glitches.
2. Radio messages should fire in the correct order, even if a player backtracks.
3. The custom weapon must appear only after every prerequisite is fulfilled and remain usable afterwards.
4. A quick test build (Windows) demonstrates the full loop from start to finish.
If you have recent samples of scripted quests or puzzle chains on PC, share those so I can gauge style and polish. Looking forward to collaborating and bringing this multi-location challenge to life.
