I'm seeking a seasoned robotics expert to engineer sophisticated motion planning for a robotic arm. This task encompasses the formulation of smooth, collision-free trajectories for a robot navigating a semi-structured workspace peppered with both static and dynamic obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Obstacle Mapping: Utilizing computer vision to identify barriers and clear zones for the robot's navigation.
- Motion Planning: Crafting a collision-free route from the initial point to the destination employing the A* algorithm.
- Trajectory Generation: Designing smooth, time-efficient trajectories for the robot's movement using interpolation methods.

Extra Credit (Optional):
- Implement supplementary planning algorithms via OMPL.
