Job Title:
Freelance Developer – Industrial Test Equipment Program Framework & Tool Development

Job Type:
Contract / Freelance (Remote or On-site Negotiable)

Project Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer to design and implement a standard test program framework for our industrial equipment. This framework will serve as a universal control layer for motion systems, I/O signals, and customizable test item execution using DLL-based algorithms. The goal is to establish a scalable and modular architecture that can be reused across multiple equipment platforms and integrate with third-party system boards and communication interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop a modular and extensible test software framework that:
- Universally controls motion systems and I/O signals across various equipment
- Allows loading and sequencing of test items defined via external DLLs
- Interfaces with third-party system boards and external platforms via APIs, protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, RS232, etc.), or drivers
Implement configuration and execution logic for test sequences (test recipes)
Develop a basic GUI for test setup, execution, and monitoring (preferred)
Provide documentation and training for integration into existing systems
Collaborate with internal engineers to ensure compatibility with equipment hardware and test procedures
Please provide a portfolio showcasing similar projects. Looking forward to your proposals!

Requirements:
Proven experience in industrial automation software development
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C# (.NET), C++, or similar for developing DLL-based architecture
Experience with motion controller SDKs and I/O device control
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and recipe-based execution systems
Experience integrating with external systems (e.g., vision systems, frame grabbers, DAQ boards, custom interfaces)
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in equipment for semiconductor, electronics, or vision inspection systems
Familiarity with EtherCAT, Modbus, or other industrial communication protocols
GUI development experience using WinForms, WPF, or Qt
Understanding of machine vision integration and test result logging/reporting

Deliverables:
Universal test program framework executable
API or documentation for loading and interfacing with custom test DLLs
Sample implementation with at least one motion control and one I/O device
Interface module example with one 3rd party board
User documentation and developer integration guide

Duration:
Estimated 2–3 months, with potential for extension for system deployment and support
