Implement NAT Traversal and P2P Support for Legacy Game Communication Server Emulator

Job ID: 39603108

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm looking for a developer to help implement NAT traversal and peer-to-peer (P2P) communication support in a custom server emulator for a legacy game communication platform.

The original client software (which is already functional) includes features such as:

Direct file transfers between users

Voice chat

Other peer-to-peer features

These functionalities currently do not work properly when users are behind NAT. The goal is to extend the existing server emulator to support these P2P features — especially file transfer and voice communication — across NAT.

Due to the nature of the project (a reverse-engineered emulator of a legacy communication system), specific protocol names, documentation, and codebase links will only be shared with shortlisted or genuinely interested candidates.
