ICAO-Compliant Biometric Enrollment App
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Project Title: ICAO-Compliant Biometric Enrollment System using Morpho/IDEMIA Fingerprint and Face SRS SDK
Overview:
Project Duration: 7 Days
Estimated Cost: $1000
This project is a C# Desktop Application that integrates Morpho/IDEMIA Fingerprint and Face SRS SDK to capture and manage biometric data. It is designed to meet ICAO standards for fingerprint and facial image capture, with real-time preview, scoring, and intelligent retry mechanisms for failed or low-quality captures.
Core Features:
Fingerprint Capture (ICAO-Compliant):
Capture all 10 fingers using a Morpho/IDEMIA biometric scanner.
Evaluate each fingerprint's quality score.
Automatically request a retry for any finger that does not meet ICAO quality standards.
Uncheck or mark fingers as "Missed" if the user is unable to provide them (e.g., injury, amputation).
Include option to specify reason for missed finger, such as "Amputation" with permanent exclusion from retry.
Store fingerprint templates and images securely.
Face Image Capture (ICAO-Compliant):
Use webcam to capture a high-quality, ICAO-compliant face image.
Display real-time webcam feed with face detection overlay.
Validate the captured image against ICAO constraints (e.g., neutral expression, proper lighting, no glasses).
Live Preview:
Real-time display of face preview via webcam.
Real-time guidance during fingerprint capture (e.g., "Place Right Thumb").
Progress tracker for fingerprint capture (e.g., "Captured 5 of 10 Fingers").
Fingerprint Score Echo:
Display the quality score of each fingerprint immediately after capture.
Provide color-coded feedback (e.g., Green for Good, Yellow for Moderate, Red for Retry).
Log scores for review and ICAO validation.
Auto-Retry for Missed/Low-Quality Fingers:
System identifies fingers that were missed or failed ICAO quality check.
Prompts user to recapture only the problematic fingers.
Allows rescan attempts with a maximum retry limit.
If any fingers are permanently missed (e.g., due to amputation), they are marked as unchecked and excluded from retry.
User Profile Management:
Register new users with biometric data.
View, edit, or delete user records.
Display a summary of each user's fingerprint and face capture status.
Secure Storage & Logging:
Store all biometric data securely in a local or networked database.
Maintain logs of all capture events, retries, and results.
Optional Add-ons:
Export user data in standard formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV).
Print biometric enrollment reports.
Cloud sync or remote database support.
Technology Stack:
Language: C#
Platform: .NET Framework or .NET 6
UI: Windows Forms or WPF
Biometric SDK: Morpho/IDEMIA Fingerprint and Face SRS
Camera Library: AForge.NET or Emgu CV
Database: SQLite
Use Case Scenarios:
Government ID issuance
National registration systems
Secure access and attendance systems
Border and immigration control systems
Future Improvements:
Multi-modal biometric verification (Fingerprint + Face + Iris)
ICAO image validator integration via third-party SDKs
Admin dashboard with advanced analytics and reports
