We are planning to develop a comprehensive platform that consists of several key components with the following objectives:
Integration of External Interfaces: Our system will integrate numerous external data sources, including APIs for travel offers, flights, bookings, payment transactions, weather information, and more. These data will be used to provide our customers with customized travel suggestions and to optimize the booking experience.
Cloud-based Service Architecture: We aim to host our backend in a cloud environment, where all services are implemented as containerized, cloud-agnostic solutions. The scaling of services is planned through a message queue to enable flexible response to changing load requirements.
Data Storage and Management: Customer information, bookings, offers, and availabilities will be securely stored in a Microsoft SQL database. Our backend will also provide APIs that can be used by both our web frontend and external travel agencies. Additionally, we are developing special APIs for tour operators that enable the creation and updating of offers.
On-Premise LLM (Large Language Model): An innovative feature of our system will be a locally operated Large Language Model that generates intelligent and context-related suggestions for our customers. For example, a customer might search for "beach holidays in January by the sea for two children with a budget of up to 6500 euros," upon which the system suggests suitable offers considering current weather conditions and other factors.
Frontend and Backend Features:
Customer Interface: Our platform will allow customers to search for, book, and create their own round trips. Users can view their booking history and manage account settings.
Administrative Web Application: A special backend interface will enable our staff to manage travel offers, monitor bookings, communicate with customers and organizers, and manage accounts. This platform also supports pricing and quota management.
Additional Features and Security Measures:
Usability and Accessibility: The design of the user interfaces will be focused on easy operability and accessibility to cater to a broad user base.
Security Architecture: We place particular emphasis on the security of customer data and transactions. Our system will employ state-of-the-art security protocols and encryption techniques to ensure the protection of sensitive information.
