We're looking for a full-stack ASP.NET developer that's familiar with security best practices and is able to review and understand security scan reports and resolve reported issues.
You should be familiar and comfortable with client-side technologies and able to troubleshoot issues with C#, CSS, and JavaScript.
Our projects can sometimes be high-profile and complex, so you should be prepared for that. Not all projects are using the latest and greatest technologies. Some of our clients have legacy systems that need to be maintained.
Our management style is very open, so you should also be self-motivated and have a hard-working attitude. However, we don't expect you to be working around the clock.
In a workday, you'd be expected to tackle the tasks that are assigned to you and be flexible enough to react to any emergencies that may occur which may rearrange your tasks. You'd be expected to communicate daily on video chat and test your own code. (It will be tested again by someone else as well.)
We only communicate in English. Your communication style must be friendly and readable by anyone else that may be on the project with you. You should be the type of person that asks questions. You should be a proactive communicator. Over-communication is ideal.
You should also be the kind of person that can tell that something may need to be done another way and bring this up. We're not looking for a "robot" that just does what they're told. You'd be expected to think creatively and keep the client's best interests in mind.
Competencies:
- Git
- Microsoft Azure and Amazon cloud services
- Amazon Workspaces
- IIS webserver
- SQL Server 2012 and newer
- ASP.NET webforms, MVC, .NET Core/Standard
- Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2017 and newer
- C#, VB.NET, Web API
- Entity Framework
- Vue, Angular, and React
- CSS and Bootstrap
- Troubleshooting and testing
- Creative thinking
- Problem-solving
- Open-source code
- Project management
- Product management
- Requirements gathering
