Application purpose:
The purpose of the application is to be a central point for the activation of all corporate applications by user
Specification:
1) Presentation
The application will contain 3 areas, where the applications available to the user will be displayed:
• All applications relevant to the user
• Central applications available to all users
• Frequently used apps + apps added by the user (from all apps relevant to him)
• There should be ability to define unique icon for every application .
• there should be ability to enable the enlargement/reduction of the application screen and the adjustment of the display and the layout of the icons in accordance with the change in the size of the application screen
2) Activation of services
The application should allow the activation of services/applications from a variety of locations:
• WEB links (to internal and external sites)
o Allow selection of the application in which the link will be opened (Chrome/Edge/Explorer)
• Applications installed locally on the workstation
• Applications that are launched using a link to a location on the corporate network.
3) User permissions
The application should interface with AD, and present to the user only applications that are authorized for him/her according to association with groups in AD (except for the fixed applications for all users)
4) Preferences
The application should allow each user to add applications to the main screen from the general list of applications - these selections will be saved for the user each time the application is opened.
Adding and removing the application will be done by "drag and drop" and/or by "right-clicking the mouse" and choosing Add/Remove
5) Adding applications (ADMIN)
• It should be allowed to add applications to the main application by the application manager at the XX company in an easy way (including adding an ICON)
• It should be allowed to distribute the latest configuration to users
6) Implementation and activation
• It is necessary to build process of the application distribution to the user stations including everything required (application/configuration files, etc.) in a simple way.
