C# Developer for Slack Bot Enhancement
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I'm in need of an experienced C# developer who can help me add a specific feature to my existing Slack bot.
Key Requirements:
- Specific feature: I need an additional slash command integrated into my Slack bot. It's crucial to note that this command is not an app within Slack, but a part of the existing standalone bot.
It is also CRUTIAL TO NOTE that this project will HAVE TO BE DONE LOCALLY ON MY MACHINE
- Framework: I'm looking for someone proficient with C# and the .NET Framework.
After an incident, it is often difficult for people to find out if or when a postmortem will occur. The current process is to drop an ICS file in the #postmortems channel, but meetings inevitably get moved around and the calendar item from an ICS file does not get updated.
We'd like to add a new slash command /postmortem <INC-NUMBER> that would do the following:
• Pull the incident information from ServiceNow
• Prompt the user with the incident title and ask if they would like to be invited to the postmortem.
• If they answer "yes", send a message to #tech-noc-notify letting the NOC operators know that the person would like to be added to the postmortem meeting.
• Let the user know that the request to be invited has been sent.
o If the user types the command in a channel, the response should be in an ephemeral message.
Functionality Specifications:
- Real-time data retrieval: The slash command should be able to fetch real-time data as per user requests.
- Sending notifications: It's important that the bot can send notifications to users based on certain conditions.
- Channel messaging: The bot should also be able to send messages to specific channels within Slack.
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework
- Experience in developing Slack bots or similar chatbots
- Strong understanding of real-time data handling
- Experience with notification systems
- Ability to integrate messaging with Slack channels
If you're confident in your abilities with these requirements, I'd love to hear from you. Please provide examples of past bot enhancements or similar projects you've worked on.
