Description:
We are looking for a Revit API developer to create a custom solution that exports IFC from Revit and applies the correct transformation (translation/rotation) to linked Revit models, ensuring that their placement in the IFC matches their actual position in the host model.
Scope of Work:
Develop a Revit plugin or external command using C#.
Use the Revit API to handle IFC export (IFCExportUtils.ExportIFC or equivalent).
Apply the correct transformation matrix to each linked model instance before/during IFC export.
Ensure the exported IFC matches what Revit natively produces in terms of geometry and position.
Requirements:
Proficient in C# and Autodesk Revit API.
Experience with linked models and transform extraction (Transform class).
Knowledge of Autodesk's IFC Exporter and configuration files.
Output must match Revit’s native IFC export behavior, with accurate positioning of all models.
Deliverables:
Fully working code (plugin or script) to run within Revit.
Documentation on setup and usage.
No UI required (unless necessary).
