Child Items - Acumatica experience Required

1. Create on the inventory preferences screen (IN101000) a “Default Child Non-Stock Child Item” and "Default Child Stock Item Class" directly below the Default Non-Stock Item Class, with the same functionality as the Default Non-Stock Item Class field, which will associate to non-stock items or stock items based on the class
2. A “Child” tab will be added to the non-stock and stock screen
3. A Button will be created on stock items (IN202500) and non-stock items (IN202000) screen on the Child tab called “Create Child Item”
4. That button will create a pop up to “Choose Stock or Non-Stock Item”
5. Based on that selection it will pop up either the non-stock items screen or the stock items screen with the defaulted Child Item class from Step 1
6. After Clicking “save” button on the new child stock or nonstock item, that will drop on the Child tab of that original product
7. The fields on the Child Grid should be:
• Item Class (which will default form child item)
• Child InventoryID (which will default form child item)
• Base Unit (which will default form child item)
• Default Price (which will default form child item)
• Quantity – Manually entered field (this will be used to say how many of these child items are needed for the parent item)
• Qty Available
• Qty on Hand
• Qty on PO
8. Add “Child Qty on Hand” on the warehouse details tab grid on stock and non-stock items screen, which will go and look everywhere that item is a child item for another item/s, and calculate the amount of the parent qty on hand and divide it by the quantity of that child item on the “Child” tab.
