Simple macOS NFC URL Tag Writer

Job ID: 37936216

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

We are seeking a skilled macOS developer to create a simple native application that interfaces with an ACR122U NFC reader/writer via USB. The application's primary function will be to write a URL to NFC cards and protect the written data with a randomly generated password.

Core Features and Requirements:

1. Native macOS Application: The software must be developed natively for macOS, ensuring compatibility with the latest macOS version. The developer should use Swift or Objective-C, depending on their expertise and the project's requirements.

2. ACR122U NFC Reader/Writer Integration: The application must interface seamlessly with the ACR122U NFC reader/writer hardware, connected to the Mac via USB. It should handle device detection, connection, and communication efficiently, with error handling for common issues such as device disconnection or unsupported cards.

3. Command-Line Parameter Acceptance: The application should accept a URL as a command-line argument at launch. This URL will be the data written to the NFC cards. Proper validation and error handling must be implemented to ensure the URL's format is correct.

4. Writing and Protecting Data on NFC Cards:

- Upon launching with the URL parameter, the application should immediately be ready to write to an NFC card.

- When an NFC card is placed on the ACR122U device, the application writes the provided URL to the card.

- After writing, the application must generate a random password to protect the written URL, ensuring the data cannot be overwritten without the password.

- The application should then await the placement of the next NFC card, ready to repeat the process.

5. User Interface: While the primary functionality revolves around command-line input, a simple GUI indicating the application's status (e.g., "Ready to Write," "Writing," "Protection Complete," "Error") would enhance user experience.

6. Source Code Delivery: The final deliverable will be the source code, which must be well-documented and structured, adhering to best practices for maintainability and future updates. The code should be provided in a format compatible with popular version control systems, such as a Git repository.

Project Timeline:The expected timeline for project completion is 6th April (Maximum).
