Zigbee Data collection using Silabs MGM12P -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have a project that requires using Silabs MGM12P Mighty Gecko Modules to provide a Zigbee network to collect data. One MGM12P is to be the Zigbee Coordinator and collect data from the MGM12P module configured as a Zigbee End Device.
The End Device module functions are
1) Wake up
2) Connect to The Coordinator
3) Read 2 Analog Values on analog inputs
4) Read Battery Voltage
5) Read Device MAC address
6) send a packet with all of the above information
7) Receive acknowledge from Coordinator
8) go to sleep for 10 minutes
Repeat process
The Coordinator module functions are
1) Connect to the End Device when it wakes
2) Receive the packet for End Device
3) Respond to End device with Acknowledgement
4) Output packet on the serial port / usb
5) Wait for next connection
Simplicity Studio has the tools for the project including a compiler for the Mighty Gecko Parts
