Windows Data Management Software Development
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I need a complete system design and architecture for a Windows-only desktop application that will serve as a data-management solution. The core goal is to let end-users capture, organise, search and report on medium-to-large datasets through a fast, intuitive interface.
Scope of work
You will start from a blank slate, so the engagement covers everything from choosing the tech stack to defining the database schema, component boundaries, communication patterns and deployment strategy. While I am leaning toward a modern .NET (C#/WPF or WinUI) approach, I am open to alternative frameworks such as Electron, Qt or JavaFX if you can justify clear performance and maintainability advantages.
Key activities
• Draft high-level and low-level architecture diagrams (layered architecture, modules, data flow, error-handling strategy).
• Define the database model, including normalised schema, indexing strategy and migration approach.
• Produce UI/UX wireframes that map directly to the underlying data model and workflows.
• Outline an extensibility plan (plugin or micro-services) so future features can be added without major refactoring.
• Recommend a CI/CD pipeline for automated builds, unit tests and signed installers for Windows.
Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
1. Architecture document (PDF/Docx) clearly describing design decisions, diagrams and technology choices.
2. ERD and SQL scripts ready to run on the suggested database engine.
3. Clickable wireframe or prototype demonstrating the main data-entry, search and reporting screens.
4. Source-controlled skeleton project that compiles on Windows 10/11, implements the agreed layering, and includes sample unit tests.
5. Read-me file that details build prerequisites and deployment steps.
I can provide user stories and sample datasets once we kick off; you will translate those into the design artefacts above. If any part of the brief is unclear, let’s discuss early so the final architecture is both clean and build-ready.
