Texas TMS32

I am required to implement space vector modulation with texas TMS32C28x micro-controller. I have time until Aug.
I have a sample program with me but based on another device.
I need guidance to understand and implement it for my project. I know some C programming but i am struggling in the register knowledge of texas. Its very vast to complete in a short time.
