Simple C Program – Message Queue Logger (Linux) in 1 to 2 days
Budget: $20 – $40 AUD
Description:
I need a small C program for Linux that works as a simple logging service using message queues. Most of the code skeleton is already provided – you just need to fill in the missing parts.
What you’ll do:
Complete a server program that listens to a message queue and prints incoming messages.
Complete a small client library to connect to the queue and send messages.
Make sure messages include the sender’s process ID.
Handle a simple rule for long messages (either reject or split).
Ensure the server shuts down cleanly when pressing Ctrl+C.
Use the provided makefile to compile the project.
Requirements:
Good C programming skills.
Experience with Linux message queues and basic signal handling.
Able to work with provided skeleton code and fill in missing logic.
This is a straightforward task for someone comfortable with Linux system programming.
