N8210 POS Software Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The goal is to build a full-featured POS application for the N8210 terminal that runs on its embedded Linux environment. The system must combine standard retail tools with several betting-oriented commands.
Core functionality
• Inventory management that tracks items in real time during every sale.
• Detailed sales reporting with printable summaries and on-screen analytics.
• Special betting actions: RESULT, REPRINT, WINLIST, DELETE BET and similar quick commands accessible from the main screen.
Access control
The software has to respect multiple staff roles. A configurable permission matrix should let me decide exactly which screens or commands each role—cashier, supervisor, administrator—can reach.
Platform notes
The N8210 ships with Linux, so all code needs to compile and run smoothly there, handling the built-in printer, keypad and display without external dependencies.
Deliverables
1. Source code and compiled binaries ready to load on the device
2. Installation script or step-by-step setup guide
3. Brief operator manual covering every feature and role setting
4. One round of remote testing support to confirm RESULT, REPRINT, WINLIST and DELETE BET work as specified
Acceptance is complete once the application installs cleanly, performs every listed function, generates accurate reports and honours the defined access levels on the N8210.
